Job Title: Telemetry Sales Engineer
Location: mid-Atlantic states (PA, VA, MD, MA)
$100k/Yr + Commission
Overview:
We are seeking a technically proficient Telemetry Sales Engineer to partner with a Regional Sales Executive in identifying, contacting, and following up with prospective clients across a five-state region. This role combines deep technical product knowledge with strategic account development to sell high-tech Telemetry RF components to defense contractors and military installations. The ideal candidate can translate complex engineering concepts into clear business value for customers and will support product training and ongoing client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Executive to identify and pursue prospects within the aerospace-military market
- Conduct outreach and follow-up with potential clients; qualify needs and map to our Telemetry RF products
- Articulate highly technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences, including engineers, procurement, and military stakeholders
- Present product capabilities, technical specifications, and business value propositions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key defense contractors and military sites within the territory
- Coordinate with engineering and product teams to ensure customer requirements are captured and addressed
- Travel to customer sites and trade shows as needed; document and track opportunity progress
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and account plans
- Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations affecting defense communications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in RF, electrical engineering, or related field
- Strong RF/Electrical engineering background; ability to discuss technical concepts with credibility
- Proven ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with the aerospace-military market and defense contracting context
- Self-starter with excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel 60-70% and manage travel logistics; travel expenses paid by the company
- U.S. citizenship required to support security clearances
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Direct experience selling Telemetry RF components or aerospace/military systems
- Prior experience working with defense contractors or in a government/contracting environment
- Experience with CRM tools and sales forecasting
