MW Interior Designer

Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 per annum

Working Type: Full-time, office based

Location: London

Software: Vectorworks 2D (or strong CAD with willingness to cross-train)

Projects: Hospitality (F&B-led), retail, branded environments

About the Company

We’re working with an established, independent London design studio specialising in hospitality and retail interiors. The team has grown significantly over the past year, with several graduates and senior designers joining the studio, and the focus now is on strengthening the middle of the team with someone who brings strong creative thinking and refined design sensitivity.

This is a studio known for thoughtful, brand-led spaces, where concept and experience are just as important as delivery. Collaboration, curiosity, and care for the end result sit at the heart of how they work.

About the Role

This role sits firmly in designer territory, ideally suited to someone with around four to five years’ experience who is either moving into, or already operating at, a middleweight level. Titles are deliberately not the focus here. What matters is design instinct, spatial sensitivity, and the ability to contribute meaningfully from day one.

The emphasis is very much on creative thinking rather than purely technical output. You’ll be involved in concept development, spatial planning, and design storytelling, while also understanding the fundamentals of implementation. There is scope to oversee a junior designer as the role develops.

What They’re Looking For

  • Around four to five years’ experience in interior design
  • Strong design sensitivity and a clear creative point of view
  • Experience in F&B or hospitality is essential, ideally alongside retail
  • Confident using CAD, with Vectorworks 2D preferred, but cross-training supported
  • An understanding of how designs are delivered, with some site experience ideal
  • Smart, articulate, and comfortable contributing ideas in a studio environment
  • Organised, collaborative, and able to broadly hit the ground running

Salary

There is flexibility on salary, but based on market benchmarking and the current team structure, the expected range is £35,000 to £45,000 per annum.

The Opportunity

This is a great role for a designer who cares deeply about quality, atmosphere, and detail, and who wants to grow within a well-established, design-led studio. You’ll be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to develop creatively, and supported by a team that values good ideas and thoughtful execution.

Please note, this role is only open to candidates who currently hold the right to work in the UK.
