Most creative strategist roles at this scale come with heavy corporate processes and very little true ownership. This one is the exact opposite. As the first official, dedicated Creative Ads Strategist on the team, no one currently owns this function internally. The operator who steps into this seat will get to define what strategic excellence looks like from the ground up.


They are a fast-scaling DTC health and supplement portfolio operating a powerhouse roster of consumer wellness brands. The flagship product has built a massive, loyal customer base and thousands of positive reviews by delivering real results, and that identical playbook is being systematically rolled out across new health categories. The internal ecosystem already runs 30 to 50 test concepts per week per offer across Meta, YouTube, and TikTok. What they need now is an elite operator who brings real strategic thinking to that volume, backing every concept with direct-response data and competitor insights rather than hunches.


This is an individual contributor role for a pure practitioner. The expectation is that the person in this seat will do the work themselves, write the concepts, develop the angles, review the raw output, and directly drive ad account performance.


WHO THEY ARE

Established in 2018, they operate a hyper-growth portfolio of consumer health brands spanning gut health, and broader wellness categories. Their flagship product has successfully scaled from a dominant e-commerce DTC brand into major US retail spaces, where it has already achieved nationwide distribution across supermarkets and retail stores.


Their internal global network consists of over 200 direct-hire operators. The core creative pod the strategist will join is a highly agile team of 8 builders, fully resourced with an internal Creative Production Manager, project managers, digital designers, and video editors ready to back the strategist's vision.

This is a fully remote, full-time contractor role working in EST business hours.


WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Full Creative Ownership: This is the very first dedicated Creative Ads Strategist position on the team. The hire will help define the core strategy, scaling systems, and creative standards across the entire portfolio.
  • High-Velocity Portfolio Exposure: The strategist will develop creative across multiple major health and wellness brands simultaneously, meaning their direct-response pattern recognition will compound exponentially faster than working on a single product.
  • Elite Execution Support: A fully staffed production pipeline (video editors, static designers, PMs) is built out to support the role. The strategist's job is to architect the strategy and script the hooks, not execute technical production tasks.
  • Radical Autonomy: The hire will have 100% freedom to propose, prioritize, and deploy experimental angles. If the competitor data backs it up, they run with it—no unnecessary permission loops required.
  • Direct Access to Leadership: The role reports directly into the Co-Founder & Co-CEO and works in lockstep with the Creatives Manager, with no layers of middle management between the strategist and the final decision-makers. 


WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO

This role is focused on developing high-volume, data-backed creative strategy across a scaling direct-to-consumer health and supplement portfolio while building the foundational systems that allow a newly formed internal creative pod of eight builders to consistently find and scale winners. Supported by an operational pipeline of video editors, static designers, and project managers, the strategist will focus entirely on injecting direct-response data and rigorous competitor research into an ecosystem that already launches 30 to 50 test concepts per week per offer across Meta, YouTube, and TikTok. 

You will:

  • Architect high-performing direct-response ad concepts, hooks, messaging angles, and technical briefs optimized for high-volume paid social testing.  
  • Conduct exhaustive competitor, marketplace, and customer psychology research to identify hidden pain points and new regulatory-compliant angles.  
  • Review raw assets and provide precise, live, performance-driven feedback and approvals to video editors and designers to ensure the final product matches strategic intent. 
  • Guide creative strategies across diverse formats including UGC, static ads, mashing up existing winning variations, short-form VSLs, animated graphics, and creator-led partnership ads.  
  • Join weekly or bi-weekly alignment calls with media buyers and data analysts to dissect ROAS, CPA, and CPM metrics, rapidly building variations out of winning concepts.  
  • Construct robust internal SOPs and creative tracking workflows to make scaling testing velocity highly predictable and systematic.  
  • Utilize trained internal AI agents and ChatGPT tools effectively to accelerate ideation, scripting, and research frameworks without losing the critical human touch.


WHO YOU ARE

  • You have solid experience in DTC or ecommerce creative strategy, ideally in health, wellness, or supplements, either in-house or through a performance marketing agency.
  • You're equally strong in copy and design thinking, and you understand how those two elements work together in direct-response.
  • You can develop strategy and execute it yourself, not just brief other people and call it done.
  • You're fluent in ROAS, CPA, and CPM as success metrics and use performance data to drive your creative decisions.
  • You know how to use AI tools effectively as part of your workflow, without leaning on them as a replacement for actual strategic thinking.
  • You're exceptional at competitor and marketplace research and use what you find to inform the angles you develop.
  • You're comfortable working across multiple brands simultaneously and can context-switch without losing sharpness.
  • You operate with full ownership and a bias toward action, no hand-holding, no waiting to be told what to build.


WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • 30 Days: You understand how the portfolio works, you're embedded in the creative team's workflow, and you're already producing concepts that are getting into testing.
  • 60 Days: Your concepts are being tested at volume, you have a clear read on what's working across the brands you're supporting, and you're iterating quickly on the winners.
  • 90 Days: You're producing ads that are hitting ROAS targets, you've started building systems the team can replicate, and you've established yourself as the strategic voice behind the creative output.
