Supply Chain Manager
Apply for this job

Picture owning the supply chain for a whole portfolio of ecommerce brands, from the first system you put in place to the KPIs you decide matter. Nobody's done this here before. You'd be the first.

This company builds ecommerce brands from scratch and keeps every one of them. No clients, no agency work, just brands they build, launch, and scale themselves. Several are already live and growing fast across the US market, and a couple of new ones are just getting off the ground, which is exactly why the supply chain needs a real owner now.

WHO THEY ARE

They build and own a portfolio of ecommerce brands across the US market, from first sale to real scale, without ever taking on client work. The mission behind every brand is simple: build something people buy from twice, because that second purchase is proof the product, the experience, and the execution all landed.

The team behind it is lean, around 20 people, fully remote, and spread across time zones. They don't hire to fill headcount, they hire when there's a real function to hand someone and a real problem worth solving.

Here's what that looks like day to day:

  • Flat structure, no middle management, no approval chains
  • Direct line to leadership, no layers to get lost in
  • Growth-stage brands already doing real numbers, not a startup finding its footing
  • Fast, direct culture, low bureaucracy, high ownership

This is a fully remote, full-time contractor role.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • You build the function from scratch. No legacy mess to inherit. You design the systems and set the KPIs yourself.
  • Direct access to leadership. No layers. Your input shapes decisions fast. You'll ramp up alongside the CEO, not alone.
  • A real growth path. As the brands scale, this role grows into head of supply chain, with a team under you.
  • Multi-brand scope. You're running the playbook across several brands at once, not just one.
  • Real autonomy. No micromanagement. You own your area and your results.

WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO

  • Own inventory planning and demand forecasting across multiple SKUs and brands, excluding the flagship brand, which has its own dedicated manager
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate directly with Chinese manufacturers on cost, timelines, and quality
  • Act as product manager for new product launches: source and shortlist new factories, run the calls, and manage development from concept through to delivery
  • Coordinate with the 3PL partner on US fulfillment across Shopify, Amazon FBA, and TikTok Shop, and keep goods moving from factory to warehouse without gaps
  • Fix the broken carrier-to-channel syncing (e.g. tracking codes not mapping automatically to TikTok Shop) and troubleshoot fulfillment issues across sales channels
  • Build the systems and reporting that don't exist today, moving the team off spreadsheets and gut calls
  • Set up proper reorder points, buffer stock logic, and lead time management to cut stockout risk
  • Manage packaging production timelines and coordinate box design with the creative team, including seasonal drops like Halloween
  • Establish and track core supply chain KPIs: fill rate, days of inventory, forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, and shipping/COGS cost reductions
  • Dig into competitor supply chains and shipping strategies to find cost-saving opportunities of your own
  • Identify and fix the parts of the operation that won't scale as order volume grows

WHO YOU ARE

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in ecommerce supply chain management
  • You've worked with DTC brands and understand the pace and volume that comes with it
  • You've built inventory forecasting processes, not just followed someone else's
  • You're comfortable working in Shopify and Google Sheets day to day
  • You can build operational systems from scratch, without a template to follow
  • You're a full-time operator, not someone running your own business or freelancing on the side
  • You communicate clearly and proactively, and you don't wait to be chased for updates

Bonus if you have:

  • Managed Amazon FBA operations alongside DTC fulfillment
  • Worked across multiple brands or SKUs simultaneously
  • Experience negotiating with and managing Chinese manufacturing partners

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • 30 days: You've completed a full audit of the current supply chain, inventory levels, supplier relationships, and forecasting gaps, and you know exactly where the risk sits.
  • 60 days: You've proposed concrete improvements and started implementing the quick wins, with reorder points and basic forecasting logic in place.
  • 90 days: You're running the supply chain function independently, with formal reporting and KPIs in place, and stockouts and forecast errors are already trending down.
