There are DTC brands that treat TikTok Shop as a side channel, and others that see it for what it actually is: the single highest-leverage lever in the business. This is the second kind. A family puzzle and games company that's found real traction on paid social in a category most competitors still run through wholesale, and is now betting that a small group of the right creators can take it to a category-defining scale.
Right now, TikTok Shop and creator and affiliate relationships are being managed reactively, alongside everything else. The goal with this hire is to change that: find, sign, train, and run the handful of creators who actually move the needle, and turn that into a repeatable engine feeding both TikTok Shop and Meta.
The math is simple, and the opportunity is real. One or two strong creators are already driving outsized results. The plan is to get to 50 of them, fed with great scripts, trained, motivated, and incentivized to keep posting, producing 1,000+ high-quality videos a month between them. That volume, repurposed into Meta ads, is the single biggest unlock this company has in front of it right now.
If you've run a large TikTok Shop from the inside, you know what separates a creator who posts once and disappears from one who becomes a real growth partner, and you're relentless about finding and developing the latter. This is the most important hire this company is making right now.
WHO THEY ARE
A Dallas-based, founder-led DTC company with a growing lineup of family puzzle and board game products, sold across Meta, Amazon, and Shopify. They've proven they can compete on paid social in a category most players still treat as wholesale-first. The team is lean and moving fast, building out a real leadership bench across creative, growth, and operations. TikTok Shop has emerged as a genuine growth channel, and the belief across the company is that it's still massively underexploited: the winning creators exist, they just haven't all been found, signed, and properly developed yet.
This is a fully remote, full-time role.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
-
Own the entire creator and affiliate function. Full autonomy over sourcing, negotiating, onboarding, and roster management. This is a build-from-scratch seat, not a maintenance role.
-
Be the reason the flywheel works. Great scripts and a strong media buying team only matter if creators are actually posting consistently. You're the connective tissue that makes the whole model scale.
-
Real, uncapped upside. If the creator program hits its targets, it's the primary path to scaling this company to $100M+. Few hires anywhere have that kind of direct line to outcome.
-
Work with a proven playbook, not a hypothesis. The one or two creators already driving results prove the model works. Your job is to find the next 48, not invent the concept from zero.
-
A role built around shared upside. The structure is designed so your success and the program's GMV growth move together.
WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO
This role has two connected mandates. The primary one is building and running the creator and affiliate engine behind TikTok Shop, growing from a couple of proven creators to a roster of 50 who are consistently posting high-quality, high-performing content. The second is driving organic social output, high-volume content and video aimed purely at impressions and brand exposure, independent of the GMV-driving creator program.
You will:
- Run mass outreach to identify, recruit, and sign TikTok Shop creators and affiliates, treating sourcing as a high-volume, ongoing pipeline rather than a one-time push
- Evaluate creators quickly and accurately, knowing within a conversation or two who has the instincts, work ethic, and audience fit to become a real partner versus who's a one-off
- Own onboarding and training, getting new creators up to speed on the brand, the products, and what "good" looks like on this account, while feeding them the best scripts and content direction from the creative team
- Motivate and incentivize the roster to keep posting consistently, building the relationship management systems (comms cadence, incentive structures, recognition) that keep top performers engaged
- Manage the commercial side of TikTok Shop, including commission structures, affiliate terms, and payouts, so the program is both attractive to creators and sustainable for the business
- Track creator-level performance (GMV, video output, conversion), double down on what's working, and feed learnings back to the creative and growth teams so top content gets repurposed into Meta fast
- Drive organic social output across brand channels as a separate lever from the creator and GMV program, pushing high volume of content purely for reach and impressions at effectively zero media cost
WHO YOU ARE
- You've managed a large TikTok Shop, ideally one that did $5 million to $10 million+ in GMV, and you know the mechanics, the algorithm, and the creator ecosystem from the inside, not from a course
- You're a grinder who treats outreach as a volume game. You can send the outreach, take the calls, and keep a pipeline of prospective creators moving without losing steam
- You genuinely understand content and what separates a creator who converts from one who just has followers
- You're hands-on with negotiation and relationship management, comfortable setting terms, holding creators accountable, and keeping them motivated over the long haul
- You're organised enough to run 50 concurrent creator relationships without anyone falling through the cracks
- You think in GMV and output, not vanity metrics. You know the program is working when the numbers say so, not when the content looks good
- You move fast and are comfortable owning a function end-to-end with real autonomy
Bonus if you've:
- Scaled a TikTok Shop affiliate or creator program from a handful of partners to dozens
- Been a creator yourself, or worked close enough to the creator side to know what actually motivates them to keep posting
- Fed TikTok Shop content into a broader paid social strategy, Meta in particular
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
-
Days 1 to 30 (Learn): You've audited the current TikTok Shop setup, the existing creator relationships, and what's made the top one or two creators successful. You understand the products, the commission structure, and where the current process breaks down. You've delivered a clear plan for scaling from 1 to 2 creators to 50.
-
Days 31 to 60 (Build): Outreach and onboarding are running at real volume. A meaningful number of new creators are signed, trained, and posting. Incentive structures and relationship management systems are in place, and monthly video output is climbing toward the 1,000-video target.
-
Days 61 to 90 (Scale): The roster is approaching 50 active creators, consistently posting high-quality content. Top-performing videos are being systematically identified and fed into Meta. The program is running as a repeatable system, not a founder-dependent effort, and GMV growth reflects it.
