We’re looking for a Senior Finance Manager to own and elevate the finance function of one of the fastest-growing DTC beauty brands in the US.
This is not a bookkeeping role. This is a leadership-level finance position where you will drive financial strategy, oversee reporting and compliance, improve systems, and partner directly with leadership to shape major operational and strategic decisions.
If you have deep DTC finance experience, strong technical accounting foundations, and the ability to translate numbers into strategy - this role is built for you.

YOUR MISSION
Your mission is to own the finance function end-to-end - ensuring accurate financials, strong compliance, operational visibility, and forward-looking analysis that supports smart, fast decision-making. You will move beyond reporting historical data to proactively shaping financial strategy, forecasting growth, protecting margins, and driving financial discipline across the organization.
This is a remote, full-time contractor role.
WHAT YOU’RE GETTING INTO
Financial Leadership & Accounting Oversight
- Own the full accounting function across all entities, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end close
- Ensure high-quality, reliable financial statements and documentation
- Oversee and optimize multi-state sales tax compliance (Avalara or similar)
- Implement and strengthen internal controls and financial governance
- Serve as the financial gatekeeper for compliance, documentation, and risk mitigation
Strategic Reporting & Financial Planning
- Own monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Build and manage rolling forecasts and cash flow projections
- Develop contribution margin, CAC, LTV, and profitability models across SKUs and channels
- Support strategic decisions on pricing, promotions, inventory, and expansion
- Partner with leadership to translate financial insights into clear operational actions
Cash Flow, Payroll & Cost Discipline
- Oversee payroll, contractor payments, and departmental cost allocation
- Manage working capital, cash runway, and payment processor reconciliations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and margin optimization initiatives
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation across Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, and other processors
Systems, Process & Finance Infrastructure
- Own and optimize financial systems (QuickBooks Online or similar)
- Build scalable processes for closing, reconciliations, and reporting
- Improve automation, internal controls, and reporting dashboards
- Ensure clean inventory accounting and COGS accuracy
- Collaborate on BI implementation or dashboarding (Looker, PowerBI, etc.)
WHO YOU ARE
- 5–8+ years of experience in DTC, eCommerce, or consumer product finance
- Strong background in financial management within multi-entity, multi-state environments
- Deep understanding of:
- Inventory accounting
- Contribution margin and channel profitability
- Sales tax compliance
- Cash flow management
- COGS and gross margin modelling
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling, scenario analysis, complex formulas)
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and payment processor reconciliations
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strategic thinker who can zoom out while maintaining detail discipline
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience scaling an 8-figure DTC brand
- Experience implementing ERP systems
- Experience building finance processes from scratch
