We're looking for a strategic, hands-on Head of Finance to own the financial engine of a high-growth, 8-figure DTC e-commerce incubator scaling 7+ brands toward 9 figures.


YOUR MISSION

You will own end-to-end finance - from the strategic model that guides capital allocation down to the wire transfers that keep the business moving. This is a player-coach role: you'll set the financial strategy and execute it day-to-day. You'll partner directly with the Founder on the decisions that shape the business, while making sure the books are clean, the cash is working, and every brand has the financial visibility it needs to scale.


If you've run finance inside a DTC brand or portfolio and you're equally comfortable building a 3-year model or chasing down a payment processor hold, your mission starts now.

This is a full-time, remote contractor role supporting a team in the CET timezone.

WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Build and maintain the financial model. Lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis at both portfolio and brand level. Translate numbers into strategic recommendations.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury: Manage liquidity across entities, optimize payment processor terms and payouts, resolve holds and issues, and ensure cash is always working.
  • Strategic Reporting: Prepare and present monthly finance reports in collaboration with accountants, surfacing the metrics that matter - contribution margin, blended CAC/LTV, inventory turns, payback periods - and the implications for each brand.
  • Cost & Margin Control: Drive profitability through expense control, COGS analysis, pricing input, and disciplined spend management across all 7+ brands.
  • Compliance & Risk: Own sales tax software, monitor income tax thresholds, and ensure tax processes are accurate and current across jurisdictions.
  • Audit & Exit Readiness: Keep the books exit-ready at all times. Collaborate with accountants on monthly bookkeeping and own the close process end-to-end.
  • Operational Execution: Process wire transfers, manage payment flows, and handle the day-to-day financial operations that keep the business running smoothly.
  • P&L Integrity: Ensure brand-level and consolidated P&Ls are accurate, timely, and trusted - leveraging modern DTC tools like TripleWhale for real-time visibility.
  • Inventory & Working Capital: Master DTC inventory accounting and the working capital cycle that determines how fast each brand can scale without choking on cash.
  • Scalable Systems: Build and refine the financial systems, processes, and stack that allow finance to keep pace as the portfolio grows from 7 brands to 15.


WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of finance experience, with at least 2+ years owning or leading a finance function (Head of Finance, Finance Director, Senior Finance Manager, or equivalent).
  • Direct experience inside a DTC or e-commerce brand at 7- or 8-figure scale. Multi-brand or portfolio experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong grasp of e-commerce-specific finance: inventory accounting, COGS, contribution margin, payment processor mechanics, and unit economics.
  • Equal comfort with strategy and execution - you can build the model and close the books, reconcile a processor account, run a wire.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets modeling. Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (or equivalent) and modern DTC finance tools (TripleWhale, Shopify analytics, etc.).
  • Hands-on, low-ego operator who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Direct, decisive, and able to work with minimal hand-holding.
