Head of Performance - Google Shopping Specialist

They are seeking a senior marketer with deep expertise in Google Shopping and PMax to join on a three month contract. This is a hands on role suited to someone who is highly analytical and confident designing complex Shopping and PMax architecture at scale. The focus is on incremental revenue and contribution rather than ROAS, and the successful contractor will act as the technical authority across Shopping, PMax and Merchant Center.


What you will be doing...

  • Owning the full Google Shopping and PMax architecture including campaign structure, segmentation, priorities and listing group design
  • Building and maintaining advanced custom label frameworks tied to commercial logic and performance cohorts
  • Designing feed driven segmentation for very large product catalogues and ensuring structural scalability
  • Managing Merchant Center health including schema, diagnostics, feed rules and disapproval resolution
  • Using SKU level economics, propensity modelling and performance data to shape bidding logic and commercial optimisation
  • Leading daily trading activity to identify opportunities, diagnose issues and deploy rapid interventions
  • Working closely with data teams to operationalise product movement rules, activation logic and automated routing
  • Reducing wastage through strong negative logic, query sculpting, budget pacing and SKU suppression
  • Ensuring tracking integrity across PMax, Shopping and conversion systems
  • Managing and challenging automation partners and vendors to ensure accuracy, accountability and performance


What we are looking for...

  • A true expert in Google Shopping and PMax with proven experience designing architecture end to end
  • Someone exceptionally analytical with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, actionable decisions
  • Strong Merchant Center expertise including schema troubleshooting, attribute debugging and feed rule design
  • Experience working with very large catalogues ideally one hundred thousand SKUs or more
  • Proven ability to build and maintain custom label frameworks tied to commercial and performance logic
  • Confident working with contribution based optimisation and fast trading cycles
  • Hands on experience with feed tools such as Channable, DataFeedWatch or Intelligent Reach
  • Someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with precision and operating at pace
