This organisation is a growing technology business that builds advanced platforms for capturing and managing regulated data across voice, messaging and operational technology. It’s solutions support mission critical compliance workloads for clients in highly regulated industries, where reliability, scalability and evidential integrity are essential. The company is now investing in the next generation of its platform and is seeking senior technical leadership to help shape its long term direction.
The Software Architect will play a central role in defining and delivering the next generation of the platform, with a strong focus on scalability, data intensive workloads and long term evolution. This position acts as the architectural authority across the product, guiding technical direction, design decisions and engineering practices. It is a hands on role that blends strategic thinking with practical delivery, working closely with product, engineering, security and operations teams to ensure the platform can meet future customer and regulatory demands.
What You Will Be Doing…
- Defining and owning the target architecture for the next generation platform with a focus on scalability, performance and resilience
- Designing data architectures that support high volume ingestion, long term retention, integrity and auditability
- Producing architectural documentation and setting standards, patterns and best practices across engineering teams
- Working closely with product, engineering, security and operations to ensure designs are scalable, secure and operable
- Leading continuous improvement through technology evaluation, proof of concepts and mentoring senior engineers
What We Are Looking For…
- Proven experience as a Software Architect or Principal Engineer with a background in data intensive distributed platforms
- Strong understanding of modern software architectures including modular, service oriented and event driven approaches
- Experience working with large datasets, high throughput systems or long term data retention environments
- Knowledge of cloud and hybrid deployment models with Azure experience preferred
- Someone who can communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and balance ideal design with real world delivery
