UK Parliament is looking for an experienced senior leader to join as Director of the Programme Delivery Team (PDT), reporting to the Director General. PDT is the delivery engine for Parliament's capital investment portfolio, translating mandates set through the Parliamentary Estate Sponsor and agreed by Senior Responsible Owners into coordinated, fit for purpose and value for money outcomes across one of the UK's most complex and iconic estates.

In this role, you'll lead through Programme Directors and specialist teams spanning performance and integration, commercial and cost management, feasibility, design, construction management, property management and delivery support, setting direction, building capability and providing the strategic challenge and assurance needed to deliver a complex portfolio in a live Parliamentary environment.

We're looking for a senior leader with a strong track record in complex capital, infrastructure or major programme delivery. The essential criteria for this role are as follows:

• A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience, with membership of a relevant professional body advantageous;
• Substantial senior leadership experience in complex capital, infrastructure, estates or major programme delivery, with a strong track record of delivering outcomes across cost, schedule, quality, safety, compliance, benefits and value for money;
• Experience of leading large multidisciplinary teams through senior delivery leaders and specialists, building organisational capability and creating an inclusive, accountable and high performing culture
• Strong commercial, financial and delivery acumen, with experience managing affordability, supplier performance, risk, quality, safety and long term asset considerations in a complex public facing environment;
• Proven ability to influence, advise and provide assurance at Board, Committee and senior leadership level, translating complex delivery performance, risks and trade offs into clear, evidence based recommendations;
• Exceptional strategic judgement and problem solving capability, with the confidence to manage complex delivery trade offs, organisational constraints and supplier dependencies while maintaining alignment with long term estate strategy;
• Sound political awareness, resilience and discretion, with the credibility to operate effectively in a complex public service environment and build trust with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and operational teams.
