Do you want to operate at the heart of mission-critical infrastructure? In this role, you ensure that data centers never go down? As a Field Service Engineer, you go beyond fixing issues. You take ownership, anticipate challenges, and elevate the technical standard across teams and customers. This is where hands-on engineering meets technical leadership.
What you’ll do
You’ll work directly on critical power infrastructure within data center environments. You won’t just be in the field—you’ll play a key role in shaping service quality and product improvement. Your responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining UPS systems and power solutions
- Leading complex service activities such as Level 2–5 commissioning, system start-ups, and performance testing
- Acting as the escalation point for high-impact technical incidents
- Performing root cause analyses and feeding insights back into engineering and product teams
- Designing and delivering technical training for engineers, partners, and customers
- Developing best practices, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation
- Advising on installations, maintenance strategies, and upgrade opportunities
- Supporting both pre-sales and after-sales with deep technical expertise
What you bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but you do bring a solid foundation and the ambition to become a true expert:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience with UPS systems or power electronics
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and power infrastructure
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting high-power environments
- Strong communication skills—you can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel across EMEA
- Fluency in English
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of battery technologies
- Experience with SCADA/BMS systems
- Relevant electrical or safety certifications
