Job Title: Incentive Manager

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Incentive Manager to lead, grow, and develop the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) department. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong operational, leadership, and client management skills who can deliver exceptional event experiences while driving departmental growth.

The ideal candidate is passionate about incentive travel, highly organized, and capable of managing complex projects that align with the company’s brand standards and values.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Supervise and manage all event enquiries—both existing and new leads—ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Lead and support the MICE team to deliver exceptional service and results.
  • Oversee the execution of all MICE events to meet customer satisfaction and budget requirements.
  • Review and approve event proposals, ensuring creativity, quality, and brand alignment.
  • Ensure all booking, passenger, and logistical details are accurately captured in internal systems.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date booking records for reporting and auditing.
  • Manage monthly invoicing with precision and timeliness.
  • Provide outstanding service and support to clients, agents, and suppliers.
  • Resolve client service issues efficiently, ensuring satisfaction and implementing preventive measures.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and compliance.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4–5 years’ experience in MICE, with at least 2 years in a management role (advantageous).
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and creative problem-solving mindset.
  • High level of professionalism and maturity, capable of managing programs directly with clients.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; French proficiency is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of current MICE trends and technologies.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Comprehensive domestic, regional, and international travel experience.
  • Minimum Matric qualification; post-matric commercial qualification is advantageous.

  • Confident liaising with clients at all levels, including executive and ministerial.
  • Professional, respectful, and composed at all times.
  • Holds a valid passport and willing to travel for site inspections and group programs.
