We are seeking a Spanish-speaking as well as English Senior Travel Consultant to join our clients dynamic team in South Africa. This role is ideal for an experienced, passionate travel professional with strong destination knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional client experiences. The focus of this role is on Groups / MICE
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quoting & Tour Operations
- Prepare accurate and creative travel quotations and itineraries using company systems (Tourplan & WeTu).
- Obtain, confirm, and where possible, negotiate supplier rates.
- Manage provisional bookings, budgets, and all operational aspects of confirmed tours.
- Ensure preferred suppliers are used consistently and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
- Create and manage guide manuals and other operational documentation to ensure smooth tour execution.
- Ensure all tour and agent information aligns and is updated across systems.
- Oversee the quality and accuracy of all travel arrangements from start to finish.
Client & Agent Interaction
- Communicate effectively and professionally with Spanish-speaking agents and clients.
- Maintain exceptional service standards and responsiveness at all times.
- Handle post-tour feedback and assist with complaint resolution through liaison with suppliers and guides.
- Proofread marketing materials sent by agents to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
Administrative & Financial Coordination
- Create invoices for agents and monitor tour payment schedules.
- Ensure all administrative requirements are completed for the Accounts team to process payments.
- Meet and exceed set sales and performance targets.
- Participate in emergency phone duty rotation when required.
Team Contribution & Leadership
- Support and mentor junior consultants, sharing product and destination knowledge.
- Stay informed on new properties, experiences, and destinations—communicating these updates internally.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving internal processes and service delivery standards.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS

Language: Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an inbound tour consulting role (Southern & East Africa focus).
- Previous experience in Groups / MICE

Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in Tourplan and WeTu (or similar travel management systems).

Regional Knowledge: Strong understanding of Southern and East African destinations, lodges, logistics, and products.
