Job Title: Lodge Manager

Location: Private Game Reserve, Eastern Cape

About the Role:

An exclusive 5-star lodge situated within a renowned private game reserve in the Eastern Cape is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the daily operations of the property. This position requires a hands-on leader with exceptional guest relations skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering world-class hospitality experiences in a luxury safari environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all lodge operations including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
• Ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction at all times.
• Manage, train, and motivate staff to maintain a positive and professional team culture.
• Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.
• Manage budgets, stock control, and financial reporting in line with company procedures.
• Coordinate with the reservations and marketing teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across all areas of the lodge.
• Represent the lodge professionally and build strong relationships with guests and partners.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in lodge or hospitality management, ideally within a 4- or 5-star environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and stock management.
• High level of attention to detail and guest service orientation.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and adapt to bush lodge operations.
• Relevant hospitality or tourism qualification (advantageous).
