Function / Title: Marketing Manager

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer


Job Purpose

The Marketing Manager is responsible for driving qualified lead generation, brand growth, and revenue contribution through a modern, data-driven marketing strategy. The role focuses on growing demand in key international markets using digital acquisition, organic growth, content marketing, CRM marketing, and brand positioning. Working closely with the Sales Manager, the Marketing Manager ensures marketing efforts generate high-quality leads, support sales conversion, and strengthen the company’s position as a trusted African safari travel specialist.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with revenue targets.
  • Identify growth opportunities in key international markets.
  • Manage and optimise the annual marketing budget.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor positioning, and customer behaviour to inform strategy.

Digital Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Drive lead generation across paid media, SEO, and digital campaigns.
  • Oversee performance marketing including Google Ads and Meta advertising.
  • Optimise campaigns for cost per lead (CPL), lead quality, and ROI.
  • Improve website conversion performance and landing pages.

Organic Growth & Content

  • Lead the SEO and content marketing strategy.
  • Grow organic traffic and inbound leads.
  • Oversee blogs, guides, newsletters, and digital content.
  • Ensure website content is engaging, relevant, and conversion focused.

CRM & Lead Nurturing

  • Manage CRM marketing and lead nurture journeys.
  • Collaborate with sales to improve lead quality and conversion.
  • Develop campaigns to drive repeat and referral business.

Brand & Market Presence

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and messaging.
  • Grow brand awareness in key international markets.
  • Identify PR, partnership, and influencer opportunities in the travel industry.

Performance & Reporting

  • Track and report on marketing performance and ROI.
  • Analyse lead quality, channel performance, and conversion metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness and sales outcomes.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Lead Generation: Achieve agreed annual and monthly lead targets; maintain strong lead quality and sales conversion rates.
  • Organic Growth: Increase organic website traffic and inbound leads; improve keyword rankings in priority markets.
  • Paid Media Performance: Achieve target CPL; improve Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • CRM & Retention: Grow repeat and referral leads; increase email engagement and CRM database growth.


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience in digital marketing, preferably in the travel or tourism industry.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, paid media, content marketing, and CRM marketing.
  • Proven experience analysing campaign performance and marketing ROI.
  • Ability to align marketing activity with sales performance and business growth.
  • Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills.
