We’re looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic Junior Kitchen Manager to support the daily operations of a busy kitchen. This role is ideal for someone with solid kitchen experience who’s ready to grow into a leadership position. You’ll assist senior management in maintaining food quality, hygiene, and smooth service across shifts.


πŸ”§ Key Responsibilities

Β 

  • Support the Kitchen Manager in supervising staff and daily operations
  • Help maintain consistent food quality and hygiene standards
  • Assist with enforcing health and safety protocols
  • Participate in stock control and inventory checks
  • Help train new staff and monitor performance
  • Communicate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
  • Step in during peak hours to resolve minor issues
  • Contribute ideas to improve kitchen workflow and efficiency


🎯 Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 2–3 years in a kitchen or hospitality role, ideally with some supervisory exposure
  • Education: Matric certificate required
  • Citizenship: Must have a valid South African ID
  • Availability: Must be able to start immediately
  • Work Hours: Flexible to work shift schedules averaging 195–220 hours/month
