Job Title: General Manager

Overview

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for a boutique luxury travel company specialising in bespoke, high-touch journeys across Africa. This role requires a dynamic and service-driven leader who excels at building strong teams, optimising operations, and elevating the guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of operational excellence, commercial awareness, and a deep passion for luxury travel.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a multi-disciplinary team across reservations, operations, and chauffeur services.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all departments deliver service excellence aligned with the brand’s standards.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and seamless execution.
  • Maintain and optimise internal processes to support growth and enhance guest experience.
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements where needed.

Client, Partner & Supplier Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers.
  • Ensure personalised service delivery and uphold the highest standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Represent the brand professionally in all external engagements.

Business Growth & Strategy

  • Drive operational and commercial performance while maintaining profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Analyse operational performance and recommend improvements or innovations.


Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ management experience within luxury tourism, travel, or hospitality.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational and financial management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and support business growth.
  • A passion for luxury travel, sustainability, cultural authenticity, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
