Aircraft Mechanic – Line Maintenance (A320 Family)

Permanent Full-Time Position

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic / Line Maintenance Technician to perform high-quality line maintenance on Airbus A320 family aircraft (A319/A320/A321). This is hands-on work in a fast-paced ramp/line environment, focusing on quick-turn and overnight maintenance, troubleshooting, and defect rectification to support daily flight operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance, including pre-flight, post-flight, daily/weekly checks, and minor/major defect rectification on A320 family aircraft
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and structural systems in accordance with approved maintenance data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Carry out inspections, component changes, functional tests, and system checks
  • Diagnose faults using technical manuals, schematics, diagnostic equipment, and onboard testing systems
  • Certify work performed (where appropriately authorised) and ensure aircraft are released to service safely and on time
  • Complete accurate technical log entries, maintenance records, and documentation
  • Work closely with flight crew, operations teams, and other engineers to resolve issues efficiently
  • Adhere strictly to safety, quality, and regulatory standards (UK CAA/EASA Part-145, MOE, etc.)
  • Participate in shift handovers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Recent experience on Airbus A320 family (CFM56 or IAE V2500 engines) – or strong recent experience on type
  • Proven line maintenance experience
  • Right to work in the EU without restriction
  • Flexibility to work a shift pattern (days, nights, weekends, bank holidays) in a 24/7 operation
  • Strong safety mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a team environment

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a Part-145 line station environment
  • Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS, and other continuation training up to date
  • Basic airframe/powerplant troubleshooting skills on Airbus fly-by-wire systems
