Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Paint Sprayer to join our aviation maintenance team. In this role, you will prepare and apply high-quality paint, primers, and protective coatings to aircraft surfaces, ensuring aerodynamic smoothness, corrosion protection, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare aircraft surfaces by stripping old finishes, sanding, masking, and chemically treating as needed.
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications.
- Apply primers, topcoats, and finishes using HVLP spray guns, brushes, or other tools to achieve flawless results.
- Inspect and repair imperfections such as runs, sags, or orange peel.
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and safety regulations for all applications.
- Maintain spray equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards, including proper use of PPE.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in spray painting (aircraft, automotive, or similar large-scale preferred).
- Proficiency with HVLP and other spray equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Knowledge of aviation coatings, safety protocols, and hazardous materials handling.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
