Business Development Director

Our client, a major player in the M&E contracting space with a strong presence across the UK and Ireland, is seeking to appoint an experienced Business Development Director to help drive their next phase of strategic growth.

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for identifying, securing, and developing new business opportunities across key sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with the board and regional teams to expand the company’s footprint and build lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a robust business development strategy across the UK & Ireland
• Identify new markets, major bids, and strategic partnerships
• Work closely with estimating and delivery teams to shape competitive tenders
• Represent the company at senior client and industry forums
• Report to the board on pipeline, opportunities, and strategic growth plans

Ideal candidate:

• Proven track record in senior BD roles within the construction or M&E contracting sector
• Deep understanding of procurement routes and client engagement in the built environment
• Strong network across Tier 1 contractors, consultants, and end clients
• Commercially astute with excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Willing to travel regularly across the UK and Ireland
