Job Title: Mechanical Estimating Manager

Location: Banbridge

May Consulting is supporting an established building services contractor in the appointment of a Mechanical Estimating Manager to join their team in Banbridge. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of the mechanical estimating function, develop the team and play an important part in the successful delivery of tenders across the business.

Working closely with the Bid Manager and wider commercial, procurement, design and pre-construction teams, you will oversee tender activity from initial review through to adjudication and handover. This will include reviewing and challenging estimates, assessing pricing and commercial risk, identifying value engineering opportunities and ensuring high-quality, competitive submissions are delivered.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in mechanical building services and proven experience preparing and reviewing estimates within an M&E or construction environment. You will bring strong commercial awareness, sound technical knowledge and the ability to lead and develop others. You will also have a relevant qualification in building services, construction, engineering or a related discipline, gained through degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship, trade background or an equivalent vocational route.

The position is based on-site in Banbridge, with occasional travel to the company's London and Birmingham offices.
