Senior Operations & Assembly Manager
A leadership role at the centre of world-class precision engineering
I’m partnering with a precision engineering business that stands at the very pinnacle of excellence. Known quietly — but unmistakably — across aerospace and advanced engineering circles, this is a company trusted by global OEMs for its ability to machine, assemble and deliver complex, high-integrity components to the most demanding standards. It is a place where quality is engineered, not negotiated; where craftsmanship, technology and discipline come together with absolute purpose.
They are now seeking a Senior Operations & Assembly Manager to take a leading role in shaping how the business performs on the ground. This is a position that sits right where it matters — driving production throughput, strengthening assembly capability, embedding operational rigour and ensuring the business continues to deliver at a level the industry has come to expect. It’s an opportunity to influence not just the workflow, but the culture, momentum, and professional pride of a truly exceptional manufacturing team.
You’ll be the person who brings structure and clarity to daily operations. You’ll ensure that assembly processes run cleanly, efficiently and consistently; that quality gates are robust; that documentation and traceability remain flawless; and that delivery commitments are met without compromise. You’ll work in lockstep with planning, engineering, quality and machining teams, creating a rhythm on the shop floor that supports precision, pace and predictability.
But this role is more than process management. It’s about people. The company wants a leader who is visible, supportive and able to lift performance through encouragement, expectation and example. You’ll coach, motivate and build confidence within the operations and assembly teams, helping them grow into a high-performing unit that reflects the reputation the company is known for in global aerospace supply chains. You’ll spot weaknesses early, celebrate strengths quickly, and create an environment where continuous improvement is a lived behaviour rather than a slogan.
The ideal candidate will already understand the demands of manufacturing for aerospace or similarly regulated sectors — where documentation is meticulous, quality is absolute, and right-first-time delivery is not an aspiration but a standard. You’ll bring leadership experience, operational awareness and a mindset rooted in problem-solving and improvement. You’ll thrive in a setting where the expectations are high, the technology is world-class and the end customers include some of the biggest names in aviation.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior operational role within a business recognised by its peers as best-in-class — a company that sets the benchmark others quietly measure themselves against. If you’d like a confidential discussion to explore the role further, I’d be delighted to talk.
