Role Summary
Test Analysts act as a line of defence protecting our clients and their businesses through a range of quality assurance activities such as test execution, content validation and, output verification. Working alongside Engineers, Test Analysts form part of the operational delivery team building, changing and supporting a range of RPA, software and content management technologies on behalf of internal teams and external clients. Working within strict technical standards and processes, Test Analysts provide their expertise to ensure that the quality of reliability of services are always maintained. Additional responsibility for supporting a wide range of other engineering and procedural activities within the team's broad remit.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Test Execution
Accountable for the execution of functional testing against agreed Test Plans across a range of technology solutions include RPA, software systems and applications.
Test Planning
Working closely with Engineers, Senior Engineers and Solution Architects to design functional testing of new, changed or onboarding systems to validate compliance with design specifications and standards.
Content Validation
Accountable for quality review of incoming content, often of a complex regulatory or technical nature, from third party providers prior to consumption by downstream technology solutions. Accountable, similarly, for the quality review of content output from content processing, aggregation and analysis systems.
Quality Assurance Monitoring
Accountable for regular review of solution input and output across a range of technology solutions, including review of content quality as well as validation of accurate output from non-content processing systems. Further accountable for the raising of incidents where quality standards have not been met.
Quality Issue Feedback
Providing to third party providers or internal stakeholders detail of content, input or output quality metrics derived from analysis and testing.
Assisting Level 1 and Level 2 Technical Support
Working closely with Engineers to provide subject matter expertise when content or output quality issues are being addressed. In addition, further testing and quality checking to validate resolution of such issues.
System & Tool Configuration
Assisting with the setup, configuration and administration of a range of technology solutions ready for operational use or during operational support.
Documentation
Creation of a variety of documents using templates as part of all quality assurance, monitoring, support, development, testing or deployment activities.
Reporting
Generation of reporting data for a variety of uses from technology solutions may include creating and running database scripts, manually collecting data, compilation of data from multiples sources and presentation of data in specific formats for management reports, client reports or other users.
Principles and Standards
Contributing to the ongoing development and review of technical principles and standards applicable to technical assessment, review, design, build, support and quality assurance activities.
Best Practice
Contributing to the ongoing development and review of best practice guidance and instruction across all engineering activities. This activity to be undertaken in collaboration with colleagues across the business and in line with general industry recommendations.
Technical Subject Matter Expertise
Providing, as required, technical insight and expertise in areas of knowledge to colleagues and projects. This may include work on a variety of internal or external initiatives.
Internal Relationships
Accountable and Responsible for developing and improving relationships with engineering and related functions across the business in support of shared standards and activities.
Risk Management
Supporting the development, maintenance, improvement and management of risk controls pertaining to the activities of solution architecture.
