Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consultant


Full Time – Permanent | Munich, On-Site

As part of a wider Workday transformation programme, our client is seeking a Workday Absence & Time Tracking Consultant to take ownership of critical workforce management processes, helping to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, employee experience and business performance.


The Opportunity:

  • Lead the design, configuration and optimisation of Workday Absence and Time Tracking solutions across global business functions
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Operations and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions
  • Configure and maintain absence plans, leave policies, accruals, eligibility rules, time entry, scheduling and approval workflows
  • Support end-to-end project delivery activities including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment and post-go-live support
  • Conduct impact assessments and recommend process improvements to maximise system efficiency and user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Workday teams to ensure seamless integration with Payroll, HCM and other connected modules
  • Support data validation, testing cycles, UAT and defect resolution activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Workday best practices, compliance requirements and process optimisation opportunities
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, configuration workbooks and training materials
  • Support business stakeholders through system enhancements, releases and continuous improvement initiatives


About You:

  • Extensive experience implementing and supporting Workday Absence and Time Tracking within enterprise environments
  • Strong functional expertise across Workday configuration, business processes, security and reporting related to Absence and Time Tracking
  • Proven experience delivering Workday projects through requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment and hypercare phases
  • Strong understanding of workforce management processes, leave management, accruals, time capture and payroll integration requirements
  • Experience collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT and business stakeholders across complex organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and workshop facilitation skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and recommend scalable solutions
  • Workday certification in Absence and/or Time Tracking is highly desirable
  • Experience working within international or multi-country Workday environments would be advantageous
