Workday Payroll Consultant

Full-Time Permanent | London, United Kingdom | Hybrid (2 Days On-Site)


The Opportunity:

Play a key role in shaping and optimising a critical Workday Payroll environment where your expertise will help ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll processes.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant who enjoys combining hands-on configuration with stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful improvements across the Workday platform. You'll partner with Payroll, HR, and business stakeholders to support day-to-day operations, deliver enhancements, and maximise the value of Workday Payroll.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the Workday Payroll functional area
  • Perform hands-on Workday Payroll configuration, enhancements, and optimisation activities
  • Partner with Payroll and HR stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions
  • Configure and support payroll business processes, security, reporting, and functional improvements
  • Ensure payroll processes remain accurate, compliant, and aligned with business requirements
  • Support Workday releases, testing, payroll validations, and change activities
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and provide guidance on Workday Payroll best practices
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to deliver successful Workday outcomes
  • Act as the subject matter expert and trusted advisor for Workday Payroll


About You:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll configuration
  • Previous experience supporting Workday Payroll within an implementation, enhancement, or AMS environment
  • Solid understanding of Workday Payroll business processes, configuration, reporting, and security
  • Experience supporting payroll testing, releases, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently manage complex functional challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative hybrid environment
